Re: Penguin requesting join
Thanks everyone - and I want to say a big thank you to Hawkeye who took me through my configs and the etiquette of TeamSpeak yesterday evening. I've got a lot to learn, but really looking forward to it.
If anyone is interested in sim pit building, that's one of my interests and I've been developing a piece of middle-ware called DCS Integrator (www.dcsintegrator.co.uk). To be frank, it's a competitor to DCSBIOS and still has a lot of bugs to iron out, but one of my goals is to create a system that can a) be pretty efficient (and therefore responsive) b) dynamically configure the hardware to avoid any programming expertise and c) allow a multi-aircraft simpit - i.e. if you move from a Huey to an Mi-8, then controls can be mapped accordingly (where feasible!). The system does provide for custom scripting so you can (for example) rescale your in-sim IAS to properly match your physical gauges.
Now... gauges... making gauges out of drainage pipe and laser cut ABS is my current labour of love
