Nemax Requesting to Join

Hey my name is Joakim, I am 29 and live in Oslo, Norway. I had the pleasure of flying with 4 members of the 229 yesterday in the Silver Wings event and I was impressed by you guys and the good teamwork you were doing and I want to be a part of that. Currently studying a lot and therefor I only fly less complicated aircraft's that does not require hours of studying systems (A-10A, Ka50). F-86 is the main aircraft i am flying at the moment. My helicopter experience is close to zero but I am keen on learning the Huey.

Experience:
Sim: FSX, Prepar3d, Lock-On, DCS
Real life: FAA Commercial Pilot w exp on Cessna 172, Cirrus SR20, Diamond 20/40 and Beechcraft 76

Welcome to the 229th

Welcome to the 1st Cav Div, 229th Battalion. You will be assigned to “B” Company, commanded by Captain logiebee. The Battalion Commander is Lt. Colonel Skullz (CO) and I am the Battalion Executive Officer (XO). Your initial assignment will be as a Warrant Officer Candidate (WOC) specifically to train on the UH-1H Utility helicopter.

You are to conduct basic flight training using any material and/or instructor assistance necessary to attain the U.S. Army Basic Aviator wings at which time you will be appointed to the rank of Warrant Officer 1 (WO1). Go to the Instructors Tent on the Web site for training materials and threads related to helicopter flight.

The instructors available to assist you are:

Major flyer-Instructor Pilot (real world UH-1H & UH-60 pilot), Battalion Executive Officer (XO)

Captain Xtra-“D” Company Commander and Instructor Pilot (real world AH-64 Pilot)

CW4 GunFighterSix- Battalion Standardization Pilot (SIP), (Six), (real world UH-60 Pilot),

CW4 Samri-“C” Company Instructor Pilot (IP), (real world UH-1Instructor Pilot)

CW3 Shek- “A” Company Instructor Pilot (IP), (real world Bell 206 Pilot)

You will be required to take and pass a check ride at your convenience. Please don’t hesitate to ask for assistance from any Instructor Pilot.

Company Requirements:

Please make contact with your Company Commander upon receipt of this welcome letter. Your commanding officer is Captain logiebee and can be reached through his private messaging. To use the private messaging system, go to “memberlist” at the top of the site page and then select (B/229th) logiebee and a message page will appear. This must be the first order of business in your processing.

Initial Check List: (Note: there is a report that the links no longer work so you might have to do everything manually, navigating the site)

a. Set up Team Speak-any moderator can give you permissions

Hey Nemax,
