Chump Requesting to Join

Howdy! My name is Chris and I'm 38. I have been hooked on flight sims for multiple decades, and have been with DCS since the Black Shark 1 came out. I own most of the DCS modules, but only really enjoy flying the helos. I started with the BS1, upgrading to the BS2, tinkering with the Hip, then falling in love with the Huey! I served five years in the Army (31R/25Q) and now I live in Spring Hill, KS. I'm a Software Engineer by day and have been messing around with DCS mapping/Lua at night to create more immersive missions for SP. But, I'm tired of SP and would rather enjoy the company of fellow flyers. I look forward to meeting more members and contributing how I can. See you in the air!

Welcome Chump. I think you'll find this group to be what your looking for. We have a great group of pilots and dedicated instructor pilots with real world helicopter experience that graciously give their time to train and develop good flight skills within the battalion. We have a very supportive chain of command and no "requirement" that you have to maintain. It's all about the comradery and joy of flying the UH-1 helicopter, using U.S. Army Cavalry tactics.

Please go to the above link "Usergroups" and select "A company/229th (North American)." Once you have completed that, you will receive a welcome letter that will guide you on getting settled in. I look forward to flying with you.
